Born in Buenos Aires, Lisandro Abadie graduated in singing at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Evelyn Tubb and at the Musikhochschule Luzern with Peter Brechbühler.
He was awarded the Edwin Fischer Gedenkpreis in 2006 and the Finalist Prize at the Handel Singing Competition in 2008.

He sang under the conduction of a.o. William Christie (The Fairy Queen in Aix-en-Provence, Landi’s Sant’Alessio), Laurence Cummings (Theodora and Belshazzar in London), Facundo Agudin (Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, Die Zauberflöte), Václav Luks (La Resurrezione, Bach’s Passions), Christophe Rousset (Pergolesi´s San Guglielmo), Clau Scherrer (Messiah), Maurice Steger (Acis & Galatea), Vincente Dumestre (Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme), Douglas Bostock (The Bartered Bride).
He collaborates with ensembles like Les Arts Florissants, Collegium 1704 and Mala Punica.

His recordings include a.o. Marais’ Sémélé with Hervé Niquet, Hayes’ The Passions with Anthony Rooley, Il pastor fido with David Bates, Camilla de Rossi´s Santa Beatrice d’Este with Daniela Dolci.

2010 Lisandro created the title role of Cachafaz, an opera by Oscar Strasnoy on a play by Copi and the stage direction of Benjamin Lazar, which has toured in France (Quimper, Rennes, Paris Opéra Comique). A reprise of this opera is planned in Paris for 2013.

Among his future projects a Messiah tour (London, Barcelona, Utrecht and Paris) with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment conducted by Laurence Cunnings, concerts with Les Folies Françoises (Lully & Marais in Bilbao), with Les Arts Florissants (Monteverdi´s Madrigals under the conduction of Paul Agnew) and Beethoven´s Missa Solemnis with the Capella Cracoviensis.
